wardrobe- Trend Edition: Pattern Play!
tank- TJ Maxx
belt- Mom's hand-me-down
chucks- TJ Maxx from freshman year of high school!
I'm back with my newest outfit post, entitled "Pattern Play" from my trend series (see links below). Though, that sounds much fancier and formal than I actually am, so let me explain. I feel like interesting patterns are the easiest to wear, but the hardest to find! I have very few patterned garments that aren't polka dot, gingham, floral, or stripe. That's why this trend is on the way. We've recently seen bunny, chevron, ikat, and now interesting geometric prints, and they'll continue to get more bold, more abstract, and more interesting.
To get an interesting pattern outfit now mix and match patterns that you already have. I chose the classic cheetah print button up, tied over a high heel print tank. What I'm telling you in short is: have fun, and wear what you want. A few weird looks won't kill you :)
Are you wondering why I have makeup on, when I usually just wear mascara? Well I have this wonderful neighbor names Jill who reads my blog and she offered her expert makeup skills for some of my outfit shoots. Isn't that sweet? I think so. For this outfit she tried some cat eyes in shimmery black then turquoise. Next time I'll include some more details and maybe photos?
