For this week's music I'm going to introduce you to a couple things I'm a pretty huge fan of, remixes, and Kid Cudi. I don't listen to a lot of rap, but there are a few artists that are constantly playing on my iPod. Cudi, is by far the most common (Mallory will support that statement). Ever since I first heard Day N' Nite, I've been hooked. I've yet to see him live, but it will be something I hopefully get to do soon.
The first remix is of Florence + The Machine's "Falling Star" and Kid Cudi. This is not only one of my favorite remixes, but also one of my favorite jams.
The next remix is Cudi blended in with The Postal Services "Such Great Heights" (one of Mallory's favorite songs).
The last one I'm putting up is Cudi and Coldplay, using the song "The Scientist". This one is mostly all music, but about halfway through Cudi begins talking, and I think what he says during that moment really defines him as an artist.
I hope you enjoyed this week. It's definitely been one of my top weeks since I've been doing this. Thanks for letting me share it with you. Next week I'll be putting together a 10 song playlist that goes along with the not so far away, Spring.
p.s. from Mallory: Kid Cudi is the rap artist I most connect to as well. He really knows how to explain the vulnerabilities and insecurities that come with being a creative person. I never felt like I truly fit in until I started design school and discovered the blogging world. I relate to him much more than many of the other artists I love. Plus, he really knows how to dress ;)
