Tuesday Tunes - La Blogotheque Favorites

Hello everyone.  This week I'm going through some of my favorite La Blogotheque, Take Away Performance videos from the wonderful internet world.  I think I've posted some before, one being Fleet Foxes, which is probably one of my all time favorite musical performances.  Anyway, here are a few I've watched a few times over in the last couple weeks.
Portugal The Man - So American
I love that opening scene is someone preparing a meal.  I think that kind of gives you an insight in what it's like to be in one of these performance videos and also what it's like to be a band.  It seems kind of family oriented.  Also, someone is using a jar lid as an instrument, and they are doing an excellent job.

Foals - Late Nights
I think what's so interesting about these performances is that they are always in some weird place, this one being in a library.  In an age where there's a new band every 5 seconds, I think this clip of Foals pretty much lets you know they are going to have a lasting impression (or atleast they should).  This is a really intimate performance, and that always allows things to seem much more special.
Hellogoodbye - When We First Met
To be honest, I didn't even know this was on LaBlogotheque's YouTube page.  I stumbled upon it as I was getting the links for the two above videos.  I'm a huge fan of Hellogoodbye, but mostly the sole songwriter, Forest Kline.  Thankfully, he progressed from their earlier styles of music, and moved on to something a little more grownup but still just as fun.  I'm glad he chose these songs for his performance.
